WoW Item Upgrades
More commonly referred to as "upping"--are items and enchantments that can be applied to armor and weapons and increase their stats. These upgrade components increase the level gauge of an item by a specified amount of points. Their costs scale depending on their rarity.
A perfectly formed version of this armor is highly sought-after in the melee PvP community for its ability to reduce the amount of damage a weapon can cause.
Type-restricted upgrades
Upgrades are a crucial part of the equipment crafting process. They can enhance an item's stats as well as make it stronger or weaker, and even add an added benefit. They can also change the appearance of an item. Some upgrades are universal while others have rules specific to weapons and armor. The wrong upgrade can destroy a fantastic weapon, and could even cause it to become ineffective.
The general rule is that you should only upgrade an piece of equipment to the level of the highest-level equipment within its category. You can only upgrade helms up to the highest level. Weapons can be upgraded to the equivalent level of a sword. However, this won't increase the weapon's damage output, but can reduce its value for trading.
To upgrade an item, you must spend flightstones and crests. The amount of each depends on the item's level and slot. For instance upgrading to a sword will cost more flightstones than an upgrade to a cloak or bracers. You can also avail discounts on the amount of flightstones and crests needed to upgrade an item.
When you upgrade an item, it fills its diamond-shaped indicator. Each step increases Tier level by one-third. The maximum Tier level is Tier 3. Depending on the type of item, it may require a different amount of upgrades to reach this point. It is important to remember that any procedure that could be used to mount a disk must not be running while upgrading. Additionally, you should ensure that the disk being upgraded is not used as a system disk.
Enchantment is a feature which allows you to transform white or Common items into rare or blue items. It can be done at Eleanor's enchantment shop located in the Capital District. This process does NOT add rune or gem slots to the equipment. However it can alter its dimensions. It increases the size of the equipment by the size of a creature that is two categories smaller, so for example the Blaster Pistol is deemed Small, whereas a Stormtrooper Armor is Medium.
Universal upgrades
Universal upgrades are upgrades which can be applied to any kind of equipment. This includes weapons and armor. Upgrade components are available through Side Quests or random drops. Universal upgrades can be temporary or permanent, and they can overlap with Power-Ups. They can be linear or branching.
Universal Upgrades start when "internal technology" can give sentient beings new capabilities that they are not likely to develop naturally. Examples of internal technology include implants or prostheses. This type of technology is not the same as medical internal technology which seeks to restore the natural capabilities. It is the start of the process that will alter civilizations in a fundamental way. The universal upgrade is an extended and complicated process. The process can be divided into two types one of complete success and the other of partial failure.
Similar to how resort upgrades work at Disney and Universal. In the case of WDW, this is usually due to operational needs such as availability of rooms or the overbooking of rooms. In the case of Universal is involved, it may be a case of moving guests to another resort that is open. This is not intended to be mean-spirited, but it is something that can be necessary in the present climate.
In contrast to Runes, Sigils and Jewels which are only applicable to specific kinds of equipment (armor weapons, trinkets or weapons), universal upgrades can be applied to any equipment. Additionally, they can be applied to a variety of items at the same time. This makes them more flexible than other types of upgrade. This flexibility can be problematic when upgrading items on the same gear route. It can increase the levels of each of the pieces along the path.
Before you upgrade, it is essential to stop the PowerShell Universal service and delete the application files that are already in use. Then you can install new files using the GetChildItem-Recurse command or Unblock-File. To ensure that your PSU server is working correctly it is also recommended to perform a basic verification.
Jewels
Jewels can be added to armor, weapons or other items. item upgrader and gems that are used to make them can provide different stat bonuses as well as secondary effects. They can be found in Golden Chests and Rift Incursions. They can be purchased from a Master craftsman for gold or Karma. Jewels can be created using a jewelry table by using five of the same type of reagent and 1 gem to make an item with either a higher or lower level. This process is similar to upgrading a stone at a gemcrafting desk.

Jewel tiers are determined by the number of modifiers they possess. Jewels of higher tiers are more than lower-tier jewels. The primary effect is determined by the jewel's tier. The secondary effect is random. Players can use luck potions to increase their chances of getting better secondary effects.
Jewels can also be added to items that have sockets that match, just like other upgrade components. A Garnet Jewel and a Garnet Stone both increase strength, but a Garnet Jewel also boosts a player's ability to strike with force. Jewels can be put into all tiers of armor, weapon, and accessory slots, and some trinkets of lesser rarity or exotic which require a slot to be empty.
As with other DM mechanics, gems aid to ensure that items feel special to their owners. With a range of different upgrade paths, jewels allow players to alter their equipment to find the right combination for their needs. They can upgrade their equipment by purchasing new gems if they feel that the initial set is no longer appropriate.
Requirements
WoW's item upgrade system allows players to increase the levels of their equipment set pieces, weapons and trinkets beyond their current level of item from specific Mists of Pandaria and Warlords of Draenor sources. These upgrades increase item stats and some even have special effects. (For instance Dolphin's grace grants swimmers the same grace as dolphins). Players can obtain these upgrades at any upgrader NPC, or by salvaging the items that contain them, with a variety of items dropping different upgrade components.
The upgrade process is somewhat complicated, but it's simple. Firstly, the player selects the item they wish to upgrade and then click the Upgrade button. A window will open showing the various upgrades available for that item. The window will display the upgrade level, the upgrade type bonus (such Tech Points or a Quality Chance) and the cost of upgrading. The upgrade level will be displayed in the form of a bar that is located at the top of the screen. the type bonus for upgrading is displayed below it.
The player will need to bring the item to the upgrader, who will then explain the process of upgrading the item. The player will then need to provide the proper currency to make the upgrade, and may be required to provide additional materials when needed. The requirements for this are determined by the level of the item. Weapons have more stringent requirements as in comparison to armor.
Many upgrade recipes come with an acceptable material list as well as the necessary components. This list includes the other components of an upgrade that can be used to upgrade an item. It also contains a flag that indicates whether or not the item has a guarantee of a boost. This is crucial because the value of an upgrade could differ greatly based on its 'extras. For instance the gear that is perfectly rolled can be worth more than the unupgraded version.
For the types of upgrades that require crests and valorstones, they will be listed in a separate listing below the main list. The number of crests and the valorstones required will depend on the level of the item. Weapon upgrades require the most Valorstones.
